Dissertation
For my dissertation, I began to explore the question "Cinematic Artistry - How Graphic Design can alter the perceptions of the viewing public?". Within in topic I explored lots of peoples perceptions of all ages of film and TV posters and whether the posters correctly depicted what the film was about. I also explored the new medium of motion poster design within this project, please read through my Dissertation work document to the right explaining my work process and final designs are below.

Pre - Dissertation research project
Prior to our final dissertation, we were tasked to create a condensed version of a dissertation so we fully understood what was included in a dissertation before we produced our final one. We had to pick a completely different topic to what we were going to do for dissertation thus "Evolution of Peace" was created. Please read through my document below.

For our Creativity, Innovation and Design module, we had to create a product for distribution. This included creating the design, name, branding, payment charts and business venture. This was a difficult but challenging module as I decided to brand a new virtual reality system named "PIMPERNEL". Please see my business plan below.

Pubished work
I worked within Translinks Media and Design team for a number of months whilst at University creating and producing some of their bus timetables and safety posters for NI Railways. This was an incredible experience as I was working in a real design team learning how they work and how they break down tasks to execute them. I have included a range of my bus timetables and train posters which are currently being used by Translink for the 2019-20 period.

In our Final year of University, myself and another member of the class was approached by Ulster Badminton to execute a complete "Social media re brand" for their clubs. This was a huge opportunity for us to work with professional clients and work with them for exactly what they wanted. We created posters, GIF's, storyboards, videos and player profiles for their Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to boost their numbers and players across the province. Please see my storyboard PDF for the video designs we executed for their social media.

"The Mockingbird"
Pitch Document
For our Transmedia and Narrative Design module in university, as a group we were tasked with creating an interactive online experience for a user from a book of English literature. For my individual pitch, I choose "To Kill a Mockingbird" however changed the story so that it was set roughly ten years in the future with Scout becoming a black civil rights campaigner after she witnessed the wrongful conviction of a black man in her hometown. Please see above in the PDF my full design process for the interactive narrative.
"Remote Pacific"
Pitch Document
Continuing on and through process of elimination, my pitch narrowly missed out on the top stop coming second. We created the online experience of "Remote Pacific" based on the book "Lord of The Flies". I loved this module as I got to explore literature I had never read before and also design different websites and user experiences. My main role in this group was chair of the meetings and the main coder of the group. Please see above my document for this piece of the project.
"November 63"
Storyboard
For our Interactive storytelling module, I was tasked with creating an online experience for users to follow through whether it be a story, a game or an information tool. I decided to pick apart the events of the 22nd November 1963, the day President John F Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas by using an interactive timeline including videos, sound clips and information on the day. Please see above for my storyboard of the timeline.
